Your eyes are the first thing people see. It is important to keep them healthy and seeing well with annual eye exams with Dr. Mutyala and his highly trained staff. In addition to checking your vision, he will check your general eye health to help prevent eye diseases before symptoms appear.
Eye exams are relatively painless and begin with general questions about your health, medical history, work life and vision problems (if any). This information is useful to the Doctor to help assess your exam results. Dr. Mutyala and his trained staff will check your vision (near and far), depth perception, color vision, and look for any potential signs of retinal problems, cataracts, glaucoma and more.
Children and infants should start seeing an ophthalmologist as early as you like, and as soon as you have ANY suspicions or concerns about their eye health. Children’s eyes are still developing through adulthood, so please come see us in addition to any exams a school nurse may conduct.
If you wear glasses or contact lenses, please come see us so we can check your prescription and general eye health. There are many different types of lenses available today. Dr. Mutyala will assess your needs and recommend lenses that may work best for you.
For optimum vision health, we recommend an exam every year.
